Beyond Shelter, Inc.’s Patterson Heights Apartments development includes construction of a three story, 24-unit apartment building. The project includes six one-bedroom apartments, 12 two-bedroom apartments and six three-bedroom apartments along with detached garages on a 1.37-acre site in southwest Dickinson.
Property management is expected to be provided through Stark County Housing Authority.
Ground was broken on this affordable housing project in Dickinson over the summer.
One goal of the project is to create units that Section 8 housing voucher holders can use. The rent for each apartment will be below market price to serve lower income households, with 12 of the units targeting very low and extremely low income families.
Construction of the 24-unit apartment is expected to begin in September. Governor Jack Dalrymple also awarded $178,644 from the Governor’s Discretionary Fund.
Roosevelt-Custer Regional Council helped fund the project by securing a Community Development Block Grant.
