Step Into Leadership. Shape the Future of Southwest North Dakota.
The Arena Leaders Program is an eight-month, cohort-based leadership experience designed for individuals ready to step forward and make an impact. Through hands-on sessions, real-world discussions, and regional engagement, participants gain practical tools to lead effectively in their organizations, communities, and across the region. This program is built for communities focused on strengthening leadership capacity across southwest North Dakota while building meaningful connections between participants.
Who Should Apply
Arena Leaders is ideal for both emerging and established leaders who are passionate about strengthening their communities, including:
- Community volunteers and advocates
- Business owners and professionals
- Nonprofit and community organization staff
- Educators and healthcare professionals
- Local government staff and elected officials
- Young professionals and future leaders
What You’ll Gain

Program Details
- Duration: 8 months (September–April)
- Format: One in-person session per month, hosted throughout the region
- Sessions: Eight sessions, with one full-day session in Bismarck
- Time: 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- Cost: $800 per participant (meals included; travel not covered)
- Eligibility: Must live or work within the Roosevelt Custer region
